Shift Scheduling

Clock In / Clock Out
Staff clock in from the WP dashboard or the frontend portal. Break deductions and shift linking included. One active session per user enforced; managers can edit or correct any record.
Leave Management
Annual and sick leave requests with a manager approval workflow. Optional balance tracking auto-accrues entitlements per job type through the year, with manual adjustment support.
Timesheets & Payroll
Weekly summaries with hours worked, pay rate calculations, optional tax, and a configurable daily labour budget. Weekend penalty rate multipliers apply automatically to Saturday and Sunday shifts.
Shift Swap Requests
Employees request swaps with an optional target employee and reason. Managers review and approve; shift assignments update automatically on approval.
Staff Availability
Each employee sets weekly recurring availability with day-level time ranges. Availability hints appear inside the shift assignment modal (Available, Unavailable, or Not Set) so managers avoid conflicts without leaving the screen.
Email Notifications
Automated plain-text emails via wp_mail() for new accounts, shift assignments, timing changes, and leave decisions. Available on every version, including the free WordPress.org version, with full login credentials and setup links.
Frontend Employee Portal
Five shortcode pages (Dashboard, My Shifts, Leave, Clock In/Out, and Availability) let staff manage everything without ever touching WP Admin.
Role-Based Access
In the free WordPress.org version you run the roster yourself from your own WordPress Administrator account — there is no manager or supervisor role of any kind. Paid plans add dedicated Manager and Supervisor roles with granular capabilities, so you can hand day-to-day roster management to a staff member without making them a full WordPress Administrator. Profile Mode, which blocks employee and supervisor WordPress logins entirely while keeping email notifications active, is available in every version including free.
Public Roster
Embed a read-only roster on any public page with the [emp_roster_public] shortcode. No login required. Ideal for displaying schedules to customers or walk-in staff.
Exports & Reports
Export timesheet data to CSV for payroll processing. Generate a colour-coded, print-ready PDF of the current roster directly from the manager toolbar.
Weekly Hour Limits
Configure weekly hour thresholds per job type: Full-time 38h, Part-time 24h, Casual unlimited. Employees approaching or exceeding their limit are flagged in the roster view.
Staff Deactivation
Deactivate employees without deleting their records. Deactivated staff are hidden from the roster and shift assignments, their frontend access is revoked, and pending leave and swap requests are cancelled automatically. Reactivate any time with a fresh welcome email.
Weekend Penalty Rates
Configure Saturday and Sunday pay multipliers that automatically apply to shift earnings in timesheets and daily labour cost calculations. Keeps your payroll accurate for businesses with weekend penalty award rates.
Setup Wizard
A guided setup wizard walks you through company details, locations, departments, employment settings, and key features when you first activate the plugin — so you're ready to build your first roster in minutes.
Skill Tags
Tag employees with skills (e.g. "Barista", "First Aid", "Forklift Licence") so managers can quickly identify the right person for each shift. Skill tags appear on staff profiles and in the shift assignment modal.
Employee Login Logs
Track successful logins, logouts, and failed login attempts for roster employees. Filter by event type, date range, or staff member. Includes IP address, device detection, and a configurable auto-delete retention policy.

Configure
